Tuesday brought the first rain problems at the ATP Challenger Split Open so the program was delayed with the start of three hours, and then just before 6 pm it fell again and there was no more talk of continuing the game.

Just before the break, Borna Gojo and Nino Serdarušić won the first set in a doubles game against last week's titleholders and defenders, Andrej Golubev and Aleksandar Nedovyesov 7:6 (6). They will continue to play on Wednesday in the fourth match after 10:30 am on Court 3, where the first match will be played by Serdarušić in the second round of singles against Elias Ymer.

While the sky above Split was still somewhat clear, the tensest match was played by No3 seed Hugo Gaston and qualifier Lukas Klein. After making up for the "break" deficit in the third set, Gaston won 6:3, 3:6, 6:3. The young Frenchman shone at Roland Garros last year when he knocked out Stan Wawrinka on his way to the eight-finals. At the entrance to the quarterfinals, he was stopped by Dominic Thiem in five sets.

Another qualifier, Zdenek Kolar, who won his first career Challenger (in Portugal) before coming to Split, continues in good shape. At the start, he knocked out the No2 seed Marc Polmans (6:2, 6:2), who does not know about the victory in the ninth match of this year.

Apart from Kolar, last week's semifinalist Kacper Žuk defeated Lukaš Rosol with 6:4, 7:6 (4) and Mirza Bašić, who smoothly eliminated former Top 40 player from Uzbekistan Denis Istomin 6:3, 6:1. The No8 seed, the Canadian Steven Diez, was also eliminated from the tournament and was defeated by the German Maximilian Marterer with 6:3, 7:5.
Considering today's interference of rain, tomorrow we will have a rich program with a total of 15 matches on three courts at Firule. Apart from Gojo and Serdarušić in doubles and Serdarušić in singles, our other doubles are also performing, Ajduković / Ninčević, Jakić / Krolo and brothers Ivan and Matej Sabanov will also perform.
